Scratch cards are a proven promotional tool for retail campaigns, events, loyalty programmes, and competitions. The scratch element creates instant engagement and a moment of excitement that flat print cannot replicate. Printed on 300gsm stock with matt laminate both sides and a silver scratch film applied to one face.
One thing worth knowing: the scratch area can be any shape and any size on the card face. Most people default to a standard rectangle but a custom die cut scratch area that follows the shape of your design makes the card feel significantly more considered and on-brand. What is the silver scratch film made of?
The scratch film is a standard silver metalite film applied over the printed surface. It is the same material used on lottery tickets and promotional scratch cards.
Can I choose what shape the scratch area is?
Yes. The scratch area can be any shape. Custom shapes are available through our die library. Get in touch and we will advise on options.
Can I print under the scratch area?
Yes. The content revealed when the card is scratched is printed beneath the scratch film. You supply both the outer design and the concealed content.
Can scratch cards be double sided?
Yes. Full colour printing is available on both sides. The scratch film is applied to one side only.
