Die cut labels are cut to a custom shape which removes the standard rectangular format and creates a cleaner, more intentional result on the product. The label edge follows your design rather than a box around it.

Any shape is achievable with a custom die. We also hold a large library of existing die forms so send us your artwork first. We can often tweak a few millimetres to fit an existing die and save you the setup cost.

One thing worth knowing: there is a difference between kiss cutting and full die cutting that most people have never heard of. Kiss cutting cuts through the label face only and leaves the backing intact, making individual labels easy to peel. Full die cutting goes through everything including the backing. For hand application kiss cutting is almost always the right choice. Get in touch and we will confirm which suits your application.

A setup cost applies for a new custom die shape. However we hold a large die library so always worth checking first — we can often tweak your artwork a few millimetres to fit an existing die and save you the cost entirely.
Can I use an existing die shape to reduce cost?
Yes. Send us your artwork and we'll check our die library before quoting a new die.
What shapes are in your existing die library?
Our library includes ovals, rounds, squares with rounded corners, and a range of custom profiles. Get in touch with your brief and we'll check.
Can die cut labels be supplied on a roll?
Yes. Die cut labels on a roll for automated or hand application are available.
